The ONAMAP Institute
In 2006, teachers expressed a need
for better access to information online and access to more
educational resources. Since then studies in early childhood
development fields have advanced, and so have the approaches to
teaching and educating young children.
The ONAMAP Institute was founded in
2006 to develop teacher training programs and provide access to
educational resources to students in remote parts of the country
(Canada). The Institute began developing continuing education
and professional development workshops in 2007 and opened up the
first international program for young children and early
childhood educators in 2011.
What We Offer
The ONAMAP Institute offers courses
and programs for professional development in education and
social science (and related) disciplines. Our approach is to
offer workshops and training as well as online options where
possible.
We have partnered with the
ONAMAP Inspiration Portfolio
to provide young children and their teachers/caregivers with
access to educational resources and materials, early childhood
education services and international education programs.
International Programs
The ONAMAP Institute offers children
in the Former Soviet Union and parts of Central Asia and Africa
with free access to education and counselling services. For
program details, please visit the
ONAMAP Inspiration page.
